I can’t stand being around you any longer
but it’s not because of you
it’s just that I’ve got nothing left to talk about
and I don’t feel alright
any second more and I’ll fall asleep instead
I’m not equipped to handle other people;
I just feel like caving in
I don’t think I’ll bother getting up
until it’s dark and there’s nothing left to do
why should I spend a night or eight
with someone I might as well have met
in some chapter of a book instead
at least that way they’d always stay the same
on page 448
at least that way I’d never end being so bored,
((wish you were imaginary too))
I have several problems with a member of this band, so I'm disinclined to like this album. However, exceptional music speaks for itself, and this album really is exceptional, from the guitar work to the vocals to the production. As painful as it is for me to write these words, this is among the best releases of the year and firmly belongs in the collection of anyone who cares about contemporary indiepop. Michael Feck
